Coming home to Vientiane

As I noted in my last posting, I am skipping the rest of my Vietnam trip for the nonce. I’ll be back there soon (blog-wise and travel-wise).

Instead, I want to get my thoughts on Laos down while they’re still relatively fresh. So here’s the first installment: Coming home to Vientiane.

Thanks so much, Jubie! Now I need to do my part and start writing! I’ve been having such fun getting out and about in Saigon again, that I’ve left off writing!

Thank you, Dao!!! I suspect that you and I are the only one’s reading it, but I do enjoy writing and the whole creative process. I got way behind swapping computers! 🙁

Adding Lloyd in was my favourite part of putting this together! I was trying to figure out how to deal with music copyright restrictions on YouTube, and then I realised: wait a minute!!! 🙂 And Lloyd was happy to oblige!

Most obliged! It has changed in so many ways, but really, Anne, it still felt the same. You know? Open wood fire smoke; jasmine rice; a few parts of the markets (!). And the Lao people–still same-same. So very refreshing!
